OK we ALL do it. Unless you are a superhuman mommy you must, at some point during the day, allow your child to watch some form of television. We all pretend we don't, as if it's some horrible neglectful thing to do, but I'm saying MY SIX MONTH OLD WATCHES TV SOMETIMES AND IT'S OK. I mean, we played together on the floor, she played alone on the floor, we played upstairs on the floor, she played in her crib, she ate, she took a nap, she didn't want to eat her green beans today, she played on the floor again... Then she just gets fussy and doesn't want to do much. Kind of like after a long day at work you just want to come home and veg out... That's how babies feel!!!
So she's got Baby Einstein but honestly, I get sick of that dingdalingdalingdalingdaling-dah-ling hoot hoot CRAP all the time. It's brilliant, but seriously. So I just put on Toy Story. She's in her swing, chomping on some popcorn, vegging out watching Buzz and Woody. (Kidding about the popcorn thing.) She is laughing. It's so amazing when they start to just laugh at things. Earlier I was tickling her and she busted out this huge, hearty laugh. I mean the first time they crack a smile it's the coolest thing... like suddenly you realize there's a little happy person in there with feelings and the ability to be happy and it's awesome... then slowly the laugh turns into an occasional giggle. Now she laughs at a lot of stuff - daddy making funny faces, her Baby Einstizzle Tiger Puppet, being tickled, Lexi, and of course my CPK's!
Speaking of Cabbies - yes I call them Cabbies now, make fun all you want... did you see they are one of the Top 10 Toys for Christmas this year???? Hello, I knew about this waaaaaay back in May!! I told you they'd be huge. Scoop some up - the craze is about to begin. If you have any of your old CPK's in your basement and want to make some loot, email me - I will buy them, outfits, etc. from you!!
No word on the keys. I guess they're gone. I haven't needed to go anywhere since I lost them so it hasn't really hit me yet that they're gone. Not that I don't have spares of just about all of them... but it still sucks.
OH, I am now allowing comments to be left... I am just curious to see how this goes lol...
I'm with you on the TV thing. They can only play on the floor so many times before it gets old. I have 8 Cabbies from when I was a little girl. A preemie, twins, a Cornsilk, a Koosa and then 3 randoms. I have seen the new ones everywhere this week, Walmart, Target, etc.
