THE BIG NEWS.

OK - I can tell you what it is... only if you promise to keep it a secret... LOL as if anything on this blog is secret...

We're moving. We're packing up and leaving Tampa in a few weeks. Much as I enjoyed living here and had a BLAST when I first moved here... things kind of got stressful and I think a new start in a new place will be the best thing for us. I am excited - but of course there will be people and things about Tampa that I'll miss...

I made a few really great friends here - I moved here from Boston 2 and a half years ago at 24... I didn't know a single person here... and all I really did was party and work... I'm leaving with a great guy (sometimes lol) and a baby!! How my life changed in Tampa!!

So we leave in less than 3 weeks. If you're wondering why... he got a job running his own station in South Carolina. It's a smaller city, but a bigger opportunity... and since I'm not working right now there is really nothing to keep us here anyway. Our families are up north, and to be honest... things here just aren't what they were when I got here.

I found us an AWESOME apartment there... we are probably going to buy a house but since this move is happening so fast we don't really have time to look at homes - we need to get there and get settled so he can start working... and so I can start working again ;)

So anyway, our apartment is smaller than what we have here on Harbour Island... 3 br, 2 bath... but I don't want something as big as this anyway - and I want one floor because I hate having to carry things up and down stairs... plus Ky will be walking soon and stairs just make it so much more dangerous. The rent is SO MUCH CHEAPER there... I thought moving from Boston to Tampa was cheap - moving to SC is even cheaper!! Our rent is almost cut in half for a place that's just as nice!! Can't beat that... and get this... I didn't even realize this until I called them - FREE MAID SERVICE, VALET DRY CLEANING, and A PUTTING GREEN... YES - we can put golf balls at our complex and have someone come clean our house for free!!!! How insane is that. And we'll have a 2 car garage which makes the whole parking thing a non-issue - :)

I don't know much about the town... it looks nice in pictures and I have heard it's a nice place to live. AND - it's an hour and a half away from Cleveland, GA - HOME OF THE CABBAGE PATCH KIDS BABYLAND GENERAL HOSPITAL!!! How funny is that... you'd think I planned it this way. We're stopping at BabyLand on the way there when we move... I am going to get my first soft sculpture kid - I can't wait!!

Right now I'm trying to go through the closets and sell off or give away some of our stuff. We have a leather sofa, love seat, and chair that have been sitting in the den for a year and we NEVER use them... he smoked in his old place so they still have a little bit of a smell... I think I'm going to sell them on eBay for like $20 and see what I can get... We also have an extra TV... and some other stuff I want to sell. The only problem is we are leaving so soon I need to make sure people come pick the stuff up on time!!

I am not sure what else to write about... I am going to keep the site going of course - as long as people read it. I have this fear that people are going to lose interest since I'm not on the radio here anymore, but as long as my site keeps getting a ton of hits I'll keep it up :)

Anyway, thanks for emailing to be a part of the journal!!!! I'm going to be busy packing and getting stuff done until we leave but I'll try to keep things updated!!
