Kyla says "DADA"!!!
YES!!!! My baby said her first word!!!!
She's been making all kinds of different sounds lately... and she's said mummummm for a while now but never on cue and only when she's fussing...
But the last few days she's been doing the "daddaadoe" sounds... and then last night she said "dada" a few times... Then a little while ago I was feeding her and I started saying "dada dada dada" and she smiled, looked at me, and goes "dada!" Like she knew!!
So now, she's just saying dada da da da doe doe dit dit da da... like crazy! We were walking around the house earlier and went into the doll room and she points at them and says "dada" its SO FUNNY. I think since we praise her for saying "dada" she thinks everything is dada!!
OH, and how bratty is THIS. When I was giving her dinner I was having spaghetti... so I kept a few plain pieces out and put them on her tray when she was done eating her other food... just to see how she'd react. She played with them for a minute, then got fussy... so I gave her some Cheerios... she ate them all up and left the spaghetti... then she picked a piece of spaghetti up and purposely dropped it off the side of the tray, then did the same thing with another piece... so then I put more on the tray and she did it again!!! She always drops stuff here and there but this was completely intentional!!
So cute!!!
I can't believe she will be 10 months old in a week! I am going through all her old clothes and selling a bunch on eBay... we just don't have room for all of them!!! Her dressers and closet are overflowing!! I keep some of my favorites, but the little sweatsuits, jeans, sundresses, etc... I am reselling them. Might as well make a little money back off of them. I have a hard time parting with the cute sundresses but I keep my favorites and sell the rest...
Speaking of clothes, I have been meaning to mention this but I haven't... The Children's Place sleepers SUCK. She has 3 of them that I bought right before Christmas... and granted she wears them a lot, but they are all torn!! She has some Old Navy and Gap ones that she wears just as often, and they are fine... but TCP ones are all ripping! They get beat up pretty bad because she spills food on them, spits out her vitamins or medicine on them, crawls so the knees get worn, so I don't want to keep buying them like crazy... but I just wish TCP made them better!!
OK anyway, not much else is up. Will get some more dirt done later on. I am trying to do more around the house every day, and Kyla is all over the place lately!

Dana, I LOVE TCP sleepers. It's funny that I just put my little boy in one of his new ones (can't beat 3 for $25)and we just sat down to the computer and then I read your journal entry. Granted he has only worn his other one for about a month now and he is not that mobile yet at 6 months, but it hasn't torn and it washes really well...so far. Hopefully these new ones that I just bought don't fall apart. My favorite were the Carters PJ's b/c they were so soft, but I can't find any one pieces in size 12 mos. There is nothing cuter than a clean baby just out of the bath in footie pajamas.
