She looks like she's getting highlights which is usually fine after the 1st trimester (according to my doc, but who knows?). Dying hair where the dye gets absorbed through the scalp is where the questions of safety come in - but w/ highlights, most of the dye does not have direct contact w/ your hair. Supposedly :-)
Highlighting does not come in direct contact with your scalp that is why it is considered "safer" than hair dye. It isn't actually proven that hair dye is harmful. There are LOTS of things that they aren't sure of safety wise with pregnant women. Just depends on how cautious the mom-to-be wants to be!
I'm confused about the whole "Britney went back to being Brunette because she is pregnant" thing. You don't "go back" to a hair color, unless you are not using permanent hair color. If Brit "went back" to brunette she dyed her hair brunette, otherwise she would have about four to six inches of dark roots and then really blonde tips. Since her hair has been all brunete lately, its safe to say she dyed her hair at least once while pregnant. Between her jacuzzi and Kev Kev's smoking, nothing really surprises me.
