I am NOT a fan of this show... I work nights so I don't get to watch it, but my boyfriend taped the last 2 shows for me and I'm just in shock that Taylor won over Katherine!!!
She's gorgeous, her voice is amazing, and she's MARKETABLE...
Taylor is a sweetheart, but he's a goofball! It's like the class clown being named prom king... it just doesn't make a lot of sense.
I am so loving Taylor too. He's an old soul. He would get the crowd going every time he performed. It wasn't that way with Mcphee. She does seem fake and she seems very uncomfortable with the camera. Either way they're both talented.

I LOVED TAYLOR!! He is so unique and it is about time someone like him won American Idol! I am very happy for him! I couldn't stand Katharine. All she has going for her are her looks.
Katharine is beautiful,I won't deny that. But there is nothing about her that will make her stand out from the other young women currently making music today.

I agree to the above. Either Chris & Taylor, Elliott & Taylor, or Chris & Elliott wouldve been a nice top 2 or even top 3. Im very glad that Soul Patrol won, although Katherine was very talented I felt like I'd heard her tune a million times so it wasn't too special for me, personally. But certainly she will make a record and sell her records, as will anyone else who makes a record.
Yeah, plus she seemed to turn into a snotty bitch throughout the show. And she ain't even famous yet! I think that Taylor is marketable, not everyone listens to JUST top 40 pop!
Chris Daughtry should have won American Idol. But since he didn't, Taylor was the next to win. I liked Katherine until she basically humped the stage in that one song she did on her knees. I don't think America was looking for the next Britney Spears.
You all have said it quite well...Katherine was pretty, but she just didn't do it for me. Her stage persences was awkward and annoying and she when they played video of her back home with her family, she talked like a little two year old. I'll be honest, I wanted to slap her. Taylor, oh Taylor...he was my man all the way. He got me so excited about the music he was singing. He's adorable!
I really think that Katherine was so much better than Taylor. Taylor SUXXXXX! I think he won because people think hes more entertaining and more fun and he has ******* soal patrol. w/e Katherine is beautiful and talented and she shouldve wun. She is definatlry going to be bigger than Taylor because she is a much better singer than he is. gtg :) P.S. Chris should have won because he is the best.
