I am just hanging out in bed watching "You've Got Mail" LOL.... What a difference a few years make considering 2 years ago at this time I was out in St. Pete at the Martini Bar partying like crazy!!
TK is doing a gig at a club in Columbia tonight... actually, he calls it a "Glorified Room" because it is so small compared to the clubs in Tampa. Funny description...... He just says - well, I wouldn't even call it a club... more like a glorified room... It just cracked me up. He was all dressed up in a TUX!!! Kyla crawled right over to him and went for his shiny shoes... she was chasing him it was SO CUTE!!
Kyla LOOOOOOOOOVES her new books!! All of a sudden she is just so into them, and she's not putting them in her mouth as much at all. In fact today I was amazed... we were sitting on the floor looking at a book... and all of a sudden she crawls over to the other side of the room where her binky was, grabbed it, put it in her mouth, and came back to play with the book. It was just so funny.
Last night we got her new car seat and the Leap Frog for Babies. Her new car seat is NICE - it was the most expensive one they had lol, but it will last until she is 100lbs so I figured we should get the nice one now and not have to buy another one later... it will last her until she can sit without a car seat! We couldn't fit the freaking box in the car, so we decided to try to install the car seat while we were in the Target parking lot - BAD IDEA... we were there forever trying to figure it out and adjust everything! We finally figured it out but it was frustrating.
She is not really into the Leap Frog thing yet... she doesn't know how to point yet or press buttons, she just kind of uses her whole hand to grab things. She loves the pages of the little book that goes with it, but isn't really amused by the talking aspect yet.
So I really think she's getting more teeth since she's been biting on everything!!! Can't see anything yet but I'm sure I will soon. Her 2 bottom teeth are all the way in, she does this cute little smile and shows them off now.

I've been thinking a lot about things I want to write about here and why I don't write as often or share as much as I used to.... I think it's because now I KNOW that everyone reads it, so before I write, I think to myself... this person, that person, this person, are ALL going to read this... and not that I am about to write anything bad about anyone, but sharing my thoughts with people I didn't really know who read the page is a lot different than knowing everyone who is reading it. I am censored now... I am thinking about continuing to post in the other blog I started a while ago but haven't posted to lately... that way nobody knows who I am and just random bloggers who scroll through will find my ramblings. When TK and I were in PA we went out for a night by ourselves... left Kyla with his mom... and had a nice dinner. We went shopping at some outlets and I got some much needed clothes at the Gap Outlet - after Christmas sales RULE!!! I only got 2 pairs of pants and 2 shirts but I'm not the clothing whore I used to be so I am happy with those few pieces. It really is a completely different life when you have a child!
We went to dinner at this place in Stroudsberg where his parents live... he went to school there for a little while too... it was built in an old train depot. It was really nice... the food was excellent. We each got a plate of wings... mine were just normal and his were super hot... but my normal wings were HOTTER than I am used to, and his mouth was ON FIRE after he ate them... and you know how it is with really hot wings... you eat and eat and then AFTER you are done you realize just how intensely hot they were. He likes hot things but I think this stuff got to him LOL!

Well, I have the opportunity to be on the radio again... not full time really, and I can't say much about it, but I don't know what to do. I don't have anyone to watch Kyla here, but I really feel like I need to do it. Of course I love staying home with her, but I don't even have a car right now and I really feel trapped in this apartment alllllll day long. I also hate that TK has to pay all my bills and give me money for everything... I would just like to contribute a little or at least have my own spending money so I don't have to ask for a handout. Not sure what I am going to do yet...

OK not to freak anyone out, but have you thought about the possibility that all of the things going on in the world right now could be the end? I was reading a whole bunch of stuff about The Book of Revelation last night, the 7 years of tribulations, all of that... and it really makes me wonder what the world is coming to. This tsunami disaster is the worst natural disaster in modern history... I don't think anything else has caused as much death and destruction in many many years... I can't even stand to watch the news anymore because not only is it horrifying, I also think to myself "what's next?" It's just too sad to even think about.

On to lighter subjects, wtf is up with John Mayer making out with Adam from Maroon 5? Ty told me about it earlier and I was like WHHHHAAAAAATTT???? I've been out of it since we were travelling and next thing I know this is going on... bizarre. I know Ty got a rise out of it - I didn't. It was lame when Britney did it with Madonna, but at least that was hot... there is something appealing about two chicks making out... but two dudes... that couldn't have been cool for anyone! It doesn't have SHOCK VALUE it has EEEEEEWWWWWWW WHAT THE FLUCK... and that's about it.
PARIS HILTON that skankbag was 6 hours late for the opening of her club in Orlando. I remember when TK told me they were opening this stupid club... I was like, yeah right she's going to show up 4 times a year. She's Paris Hilton, she doesn't have to. They gave her money and a ferrari already just so they could use her name!!! I am wondering what the dress code is like in this place... NO UNDIES ALLOWED... Ew.
KEVIN FEDERLINE is hard at work keeping is wife Britney in line! He told her she can't shop anymore until she cleans out her old clothes. Nice try Kev. Does he REALLY think Britney, who makes all the money, is actually going to clean her closet before she buys more? Who is he to tell her what to do? Is she taking his orders? Pathetic. Just plain pathetic. I could see if he was the one out working and bringing home the bacon, but HE IS NOT. It is ALLLLLLLL her money... her money paid for the house, the full closets, and the floor space the clothes are spilling on to... so I gotta get Britney's back on this one - Keven needs to STFU!!
JOE SIMPSON has to be the WORST possible Father In Law ever... not only does he talk about his son in law's wife and her huge boobies lol.... but Nick planned a second honeymoon in France - just for the two of them to get away for a bit - and Joe My Daughter is So Hot Simpson - got wind of the trip and wanted the MTV cameras to film their vacation and make it into a TV special!!! God this guy is SO out of line... So Nick backs out of the Paris trip and they secretly fly to Maui to be ALONE... and who shows up 3 days later but ASHLEE AND RYAN CABRERA!!! Jessica and Nick can not even get a moment alone!!! And for someone that doesn't want to live in the shadow of her big sister Ashlee does a good job of following her around!! Not to mention the fact that Nick wants to impregnate Jessica and it's not going to happen if Joe, Ashlee, and the MTV camera crew don't go away.
Theory on why Nick wants to knock Jessica up... So he can have her all to himself and she can't work and continue to be more successful than him. Plus, once she gets pregnant Nick will feel he actually accomplished something as a man LOL...
And... am I to assume Ashlee and Ryan are back together? Damn he is hot. Maybe she's just using him for bootie... I'd take anything I could get from that piece of ass!!

Yes, we're back in Columbia! Got here last night... I have been lazy all day, but what else is new!? I have lots to write but I need to get ready to go out.. we have no food!! And Kyla needs a new carseat. She literally outgrew the one we have while we were away! She's just way too big for the one we have now... Luckily I have some gift cards we can use to get it since all the travelling and buying Christmas gifts nearly broke us!
I enjoyed seeing family and friends... but I think next year we're going to stay here and have a nice quiet Christmas. TK and I really couldn't get each other gifts because we spent so much on travel. Not that the presents matter of course, but it was a very expensive trip and we didn't get Kyla everything we wanted to get her. I'm using the money my family gave me and her to get her the PowerTouch Baby and a few other big things we couldn't buy for her up there since we'd have to ship them back.
She is bouncing in her exersaucer right now and smiling at me. She is such a big girl now LOL... just in the 2 and a half weeks I was gone it seems like she grew so much! Like before I left she could barely crawl... and now she can reach up to the coffee table and pull her little self up!
Her face is really red right now. I think she has some more patches of dry skin. I put Eucerin cream on it and it should clear it up. She is so cute, I hate when she has one red rosy cheek!!
Her cold is going away which makes me happy. It's chilly here, but not bitter cold like it is up there... and EVERYONE up north is sick!!! I don't miss it at all in that regard... the second we got back here my nose cleared up and I feel MUCH better!
I should get ready to go shopping now... TK will be home soon!

Anyway, I've been itching to start my dirt page again and you KNOW I would have been ALL OVER this Britney Christmas card thing! I can't wait to get back to my computer with FrontPage!!
So I have to say I am soooooooooo proud of Alecia - a year ago she had never been on the radio before and now she's doing middays for TK's station while the chick that usually does that show is on vaca!! TK told me today when we were at dinner that she sounds great!! Alecia has worked REALLLLY hard and it makes me happy to know she is getting a shot! I'm sure she's doing more work than the person who has the gig full time anyway lol... But enough about that.
So TK is here. What a debacle... we couldn't get a rental car - long story short - he waited 'til the last minute and there were no more cars... so he had to take the bus from Logan to near my dad's house.... I went there to meet him, then we went shopping and to the OG for dinner. He missed Kyla soooo much... she was asleep when we got back here, and then when she woke up she was all about me... and just kind of looked at him... then she woke up a little more and realized THAT'S MY DADDY! She was so happy to see him.
OK any of my friends in cold climates really don't want to hear about my snow excitement... espcially if you had to drive to work in it today... but let me tell you - when Ky and I got up this morning and walked into the hallway... and looked out the big window above the front door... and saw the snow... I was SO EXCITED! The house across the street is all brick - it's gorgeous - and it's like looking into a winter wonderland snowglobe from the window here... You'd have to see it to know what I mean, but it was just so pretty. Of course, I didn't have to shovel it or even venture out into the cold today - so I can enjoy it!
I'm having a great time... I haven't been able to update much because this computer kinda sucks and I've just been enjoying my time with friends and family.
Yesterday we went to church. YES - I went to church. It's the church I went to Sunday School at, the one my mom belonged to, and it was definitely nice to see some people who I haven't seen in probably 10 years! They all loved Kyla of course :)
Then we went to see my grandmother... how cute is this. Right when we got there... she had a blanket sitting on the couch next to her - and handed it to me to put on the floor for her... it is one of my favorite blankets, her mother (my great grandmother) had made it... and then she walks over to the hall closet, opens the door, and pulls out a plastic bag... it had blocks in it! They are red, blue, and yellow blocks that open up and have letters and pictures on them - and they were from when I was little!!! I remember playing with them... she had gotten them out of the basement and washed them just for Kyla to have something to play with!! It was SO SWEET.
OH - and we had Papa Gino's pizza yesterday... YUM!!! Papa Gino's is just the best pizza ever... or maybe it just seemed really good to me bc they don't have it anywhere else but around here lol.
Then my brother took me to WalMart to check out the new CPK's... they are super cute. I am waiting for my little blonde supercurly cornsilk girl... she should be here tomorrow. The cornsilks aren't available in stores - but there are other new ones I saw... So exciting for me - yes, I'm a BIG DORK.
So last night TK and I talked on the phone for over 2 hours!!! Kyla was asleep and I just called to see what was up... and usually our conversations don't last more than 5 minutes but we had a good talk. I want to know when I am getting my ring LOL. Seriously though... I am around all these other young couples that are engaged or married... and I'm like - HELLO WE ALREADY HAVE A KID, WHERE IS MY RING? I picked it out a while ago... and now I guess I just have to wait. I always get annoyed when chicks get on the guy about the ring... but I want one!! We were also talking about the stuff we used to do when we first got together... before all the drama... and I am wondering if we can ever get back to that - not completely obviously because nothing is ever like it is in the beginning... but we just have no romance, nothing. We are like roomates who share a child!!
Anyway, that's all for now. I have to say that I feel SO MUCH BETTER now that I am home... I kinda don't want to go back to SC... but I do have some plans for when I get back there - and I've got some new motivation to work on my website like I used to... It's been hard with all the moving, holidays, stress, etc. but once I get back I really need to step it up.......

LOL.. that's all I have heard all day... We're having a nice time here... last night my brother came over for dinner and to play with Kyla. We just shot the ish and tried to figure out what to get each other- and everyone else - for Christmas.
I am going shopping with my best friend tonight... it should be fun. It will be weird to go to the mall I used to hang out at all the time. I haven't been there in like 3 years!!
Not much else is going on. I ordered one of my Christmas gifts today. I had to do it bc I was afraid TK wouldn't get the right thing... ONE GUESS what it was!!!
I have figured out what to get everyone so that is a good thing... except Kyla... but we are just going to go to Toys R Us and pick up a few things to wrap up... Anything we get will have to be shipped back to Columbia anyway, and I am sure her grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, etc. are all going to spoil her so she'll have plenty. I just don't want to go nuts buying a ton of toys only to have to pay to ship them lol.
Gotta get back to Kyla and try to squeeze in a shower today!!

OMG has it really been 4 days since I wrote?!?! Wow... Well, we're here! Kyla is in the pack & play for a few minutes and she is NOT HAPPY... but there really isn't anywhere I can put her down here... and my arms are getting tired! She was SUCH AN ANGEL on the plane rides Sunday. I got a lot of compliments on what a good baby she is... oh, and of course everyone thinks she is cute too!
Monday night I went shopping with my dad... and last night they watched Kyla while I went to dinner with my friend Jess.
TK is getting here next Wednesday and then we'll do our shopping together. Then the day after Christmas we are going to PA to visit his family... then back to SC before New Year's. He's got a club gig to do New Year's Eve and we need the loot lol.
It's good to be home... BUT IT'S FREAKING FREEEEEEZING here!!! Like 20 degrees or something... I am all bundled up!
I notice there's been some fun dirt while I've been away... rest assured when I get back to SC and have my computer so I can update my page... It will kick all kinds of ass again...
Poor Kyla is flipping out. She is good in her pack & play at home but here she just hates it. I gave her toys... but she still doesn't want to be in there. God I feel horrible right now when she fusses but it's ok to put her down for a little while - right?
Anyway, I am going to check my email and do a few other things...
The new CPK's have been released!!! This is the 3rd Edition of kids from Play Along... I am DYING to get some!! They have new outfits, new headmolds/faces, and new cornsilk hair. How freaking cute is that little girl!!!
Just when I was keeping my collecting under control... they release a ton of new dolls!!
So we have been playing on the floor all morning. We had a fun day yesterday but I am so tired!! We went to Chuck E. Cheese in the morning and then to Wal Mart, then to the mall... I didn't even bother to come home before picking TK up at work, so we were out of the house walking around for 8 hours... well, I was walking around - she was being carried or pushed in the stroller like the princess she is.
I can't believe I am going home in 2 days!!! I am going to do all my shopping when I get there because travelling with Kyla and all our stuff is hard enough, I can't lug presents too! I have no idea what to get people... I was at the mall yesterday and of course I see plenty for me and Ky, but I have no clue what to get for anyone else.
My sister made her Christmas Registry again LOL so that will be easy... but everyone else... I just don't know.
Ky is getting fussy now... Gotta go. Enjoy the pics!!!
LOL... well, my ears hurt and my voice hurts from yelling at the radio...
I am so aggravated. I am quite honestly offended by the lack of effort put forth by certain people on the radio "here"... saying things like "it's blah o'clock and today is blah and that means its almost the weekend and this is blah by blah" EVERY SINGLE MORNING... oh God, it's horrific.
That being said, Kyla and I are off to Chuck E Cheese!!!

We had a nice dinner at home last night for TK's birthday... nothing too exciting. I wanted to do more but I have no money - and we are saving for Christmas presents!

I wanted a digital camera but TK thinks his parents got him one for his birthday LOL... not sure if they did or not but if he has one I can use it :)

I have no money!! I am going to have to ask him for my allowance (lol our little joke) and then go get him something tomorrow... I really need to get a job - I HATE not having money!! I mean he pays the bills and buys the food and stuff... but it doesn't seem right to be like "yo I need money for your present" LOL.
I know what I wanted to get him - but that was when I had a job and could afford to buy him something at Tiffany's!! Now I don't know what to do - but it will be the thought that counts RIGHT!
So I was on the air here yesterday! It was so much fun! I was on for 5 hours though, that's a LOOOOOONG time considering I was so used to my little 3 hour show! It was a little weird at first getting used to saying "104.7 WNOK..." instead of what I was used to saying, and it's always a little akward getting used to a different studio, but everything went pretty smooth.... I screwed up a few times but oh well - I wasn't even really nervous which is weird. Every other time I have started on a new station I have been COMPLETELY PETRIFIED but this time I just did what I would have done on my other station and it worked out fine.
I went to see Bridget Jones The Edge of Reason the other night... OK how embarassing is this!! I was meeting some of the girls from the mommy group I joined... we had gone to the mall right near the theater earlier that day so I thought I knew exactly where it was... Since we only have one car right now, I picked TK up at work, he drove me to the movies, and then dropped me off.... .I go up to get my ticket as he pulls away...
"One for Bridget Jones please."
"Uh, ma'am, that movie isn't playing here."
"OOOOOOH SHIT!!!"
I'm a HUGE LOSER. Of course there were about 20 teenagers standing RIGHT BEHIND ME as this happened... OMG I FELT LIKE SUCH A LOSER! So I called TK and he came back to pick me up... I figured out where the other theater was (just down the street) but by the time I got there it was after 7:30 and the movie had started.
I attempted to find my friends but it was dark in the theater and I didn't want to stand there like a fool searching for people.... so I went to walk to a seat on an end, dropped my glasses off my face (they are old and stretched out, I need new ones BAD) and spilled some of my popcorn, tripped... and then just sat my stupid ass right down!! I felt like SUCH A DORK.
The movie was great... I really needed it... I haven't gone to a movie since long before Kyla was born. I couldn't sit through a movie when I was pregnant so it's probably been almost 2 years!!!! I don't even remember the last thing I saw in the theter...
Have you seen Bridget Jones yet? Post comments... and if you haven't seen it I recommend it, but it does get a little weird... like when she ends up in a Thai prison.... lol!
I got most of the Christmas cards out today! Its easy when you don't actually have to write anything... they are all predone with Ky's picture so I just had to address the envelopes. I need addresses for some people though so I have to make some phone calls to get them!
Kyla crawled today! Like really crawled... of course she crawled to the TV and likes to go for the glass doors where the cable box is... but she did it!!! So then of course I was putting her on the other side of the room like "come to mama!" and then she just wanted to paw at the carpet and play with the toys lol.
TK is making dinner. I have to say it is nice that he doesn't have to do all these appearances every weekend... and he doesn't have to be on the air on weekends either... it sucks not having that extra money to splurge on crap with, but his company is nicer... Most of the time anyway!
I feel so bad for little Kylers... Teething is hard for her... I don't know what to do when she is just crying and crying and I KNOW it's her teeth bc her gums are red and she just wants to bite EVERYTHING. We give her tons of stuff to bite on and she likes having a wet cloth to suck on too... but sometimes I think not much helps. I did use the Baby Orajel the other night even though some people have said not to use it... It's safe, and it helped her. It was like midnight and she was SO TIRED - rubbing her little eyes constantly, but couldn't settle... so we put some on her gums and she calmed right down and fell asleep on me. She is so sweet!
9 more days until I go home... and 22 days until Christmas...
I went to the mall today with some other moms I met here. We had fun!! Kyla gets fussy in her stroller though, and when she starts to fuss I pick her up, then my back hurts and I get exhausted carrying her with one arm and pushing the stroller with another... The other kids (who are older than her, toddlers) were all well-behaved and quiet... I guess it must suck to be stuck in a stroller for a while...
I am going to the movies tonight. I haven't been to the movies in over a year, probably a year and a half... I didn't go when I was pregnant, haven't been since... so YEAH, it's been a while! TK is watching Kyla and I'm going with the girls to see "Bridget Jones". I've heard it's great!
I bought Ky a new turtle toy today... it's a toy with 3 little balls and you put the balls in the turtle and spin it around and it makes noise... and Kyla figured out that you push on the turtle's head to make it spin!! She kept doing it over and over. Sometimes it's SO AMAZING to watch her figure things like that out.
I do have some advice... Someone actually told me this today after I cut my thumb trying to get the freaking toy out of the ridiculous package... Unpackage kids toys before wrapping them!! Seriously, baby/toddler toys are taped, tied, stuck, glued, fastened, and secured so freaking tightly to the packaging you can't get them out!! I break a sweat trying to open toys... and then FORGET IT if I have to assemble anything!!! Why the hell can I buy a toaster and easily slide it out of a box, but a kid's toy takes 20 minutes, scissors, elbow grease, and a screwdriver to unpackage??? WHY!!?!?!?
OK did you see the Nick & Jessica thing. HORRID. All I can say is HORRID. I swear her singing gets more and more annoying every time I see her... she's got cute outfits and she's GORGEOUS, but she is so flipping dumb. Nick is a better actor than she is... What was up with the turning the lights on and off thing... it was just LAME. L a m e.
Jeesh... what else... Oh - I will be back on the radio tomorrow!!!!! Too bad for my Tampa buddies it will be here lol... Did you really think I would stay away for long? TK has been begging me to be on the air. Now I'm sure I'll get the "well of course he puts his baby's momma on the air..." thing but WHATEVER. It will be fun for me. I have PLENTY to say - it's been bottled up for over 2 months now!! Now I just hope I don't screw up and say the wrong radio station... I got so used to where I worked that to say the name of a new station every time takes some getting used to!
I hope listeners here like me... I was so comfortable in Tampa and had reassurance that people were listening because of all the calls/emails, etc...
OK, I get your drift... I need to lighten up. I just don't like it here though.
The good news of the day is I went to see a doctor and just as I suspected there is nothing physically wrong with me - all my ailments are from stress. It's not all "in my head" as the pains, headaches, etc. ARE REAL, but stress can cause a chemical imbalance in the brain which produces these reactions. At least now that I know it's nothing serious/physical, I am not as worried about it... So it helps.
I updated Danasdirt.com. I have been kind of out of the loop on dirt lately but I plan on getting back on top of ish soon. It's been hard to even keep up with laundry and other things with all the moving, staying in a hotel, then getting settled in a new place, etc.
I am going back to Boston for a few weeks to relax. I went from being a party animal to being pregnant, to having a baby, to being a working mom, to dealing with bs at work that led me to quit, then we had all these car issues, then we decide to move, etc... It's A LOT. In the course of a year I became a mom, then a working mom, then a disgrutled out of work mom, then I move to a new place where I don't know a soul, etc... It has not been easy!
So I am working on my Christmas lists... what to get for Kyla, TK, family... and what I want for ME! I can't decide if I want new clothes, a digital camera, a softie CPK, a new computer, or what! I WANT IT ALL... but unfortunately I can't have everything. I am making a list of toys I want to get for Kyla. She already is so spoiled anyway! I really want to get her some toys she'll use for the next 6 months or so so I'm looking at 12mo. plus since she'll be a year old in March... and she needs books... and I need to get her one of those "clean shopper" things that you put in a shopping cart, and they make them for restaurant high chairs too.
Tonight the Nick & Jessica special is on. MUST WATCH.
Anyway, that's all for now. I need to finish doing some laundry before the princess wakes up!
